Ingeniero jefe Sato: "“Everyone is expecting an F model, but right now we are not sure,” said Sato. “The interesting thing is that Porsche is developing a sports car with electric power, and there is the BMW i8, so maybe a big engine with more power is a little bit heading in the old style. The hybrid model may be an interesting idea. The sudden torque provided by the electric motor is much faster and more unique – and perhaps more interesting for the customer. “Lexus is a pioneer of hybrid systems and perhaps we have a role to show that hybrid has more capability now. It would be a unique driving experience, I think. So maybe the LC 500h is the car that would satisfy the requirement for a faster car.”" |

Scoop! 600-HP Lexus LC F Coming This Fall FEBRUARY 27, 2017 AT 11:48 AM BY PETER LYON | ILLUSTRATION BY BEST CAR LC-F Currently, the 471-hp Lexus LC500 is the brand’s high-performance flagship. But we’ve learned that Lexus is planning more. Set to make its debut at the Tokyo auto show in October is an ultra-high-performance LC F that will feature a new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 punching out a potent 600 horsepower. According to our source at Lexus, this high-performance powerplant is in essence two 8AR-type 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines joined together at 90 degrees. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 also will find its way into the GS F—making 550 horsepower—but for the LC F it will be turned up to 600 horsepower, with 470 lb-ft of torque. As with the LC500, the F will use the company’s 10-speed automatic transmission. The LC F’s bespoke body kit will feature hood vents, air ducts for brake cooling, a fixed rear wing, and an aggressive front splitter as well as side and rear air vents. A set of 20-inch wheels wrapped in high-performance rubber will keep the LC F stuck to the road, while six-piston brake calipers will squeeze the rotors to scrub off speed. We’ll learn more about the hardware on this ultimate Lexus this fall. http://blog.caranddriver.com/scoop-6...ing-this-fall/ Me parece algo pronto, normalmente presentan modelos como máximo con un año de antelación... |

…an anonymous source with knowledge of the upcoming North American Lexus LS model range confirmed to [Practical Motoring] that Lexus will be introducing a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V8 engine. The source also claims there is ‘a good chance’ that same engine will be placed into an LC F and, it would only be logical, that it will also be placed into the upcoming GS F.
Speaking with Lexus Australia PR communications manager, Nick Raman, PM was told that Lexus had some exciting news up its sleeve for this years Tokyo motor show: “For sure, we are going to have some very interesting news”, he said, “we will have something to show at Tokyo” – but Raman could not allude if that something will be an ‘F’ vehicle or if it will powered by the speculated turbo V8.

First off, the insider claims the LC F will be powered by a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine with 630ps, which converts to 621 horsepower. This is in line with a earlier report from Best Car, and could be a repackaged rumor. However, the insider doesn’t stop there — they also claim that Lexus will reduce the weight of the LC F by 7% through the additional use of CFRP, and that the Japanese price will be over 20 million yen, or $176,000 USD. As a comparison, the LC 500 costs 13 million yen ($115,000 USD) in Japan. The insider goes even further with talk of manufacturing, claiming the LC F will be alongside the standard LC and will not require its own dedicated line. On the topic of a release date, the insider says that final testing will start in Fall 2018, with the LC F reaching dealerships some time in 2019. ![]()

No entiendo a qué viene el LC-F. El LC500 es un coupé deportivo que salvo por su peso, se acerca al 911, M4, C63 AMG Coupé... Pero el F si se va a los 620 cv... Que competencia tendría? |

![]() Car & Driver has joined the Lexus LC F rumor mill, claiming that the high-performance coupe will debut in 2021 with a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 “making north of 600 horsepower”. The magazine also expects a 10-speed automatic, plus updates to the torque-vectoring differential and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system.
There are other details as well: The LC F will be outfitted with carbon fiber and other lightweight materials to reduce mass, the front and rear will get an aggressive update, and there will be vents in both the hood and fenders. There’s even speculation on the price — Car & Driver suggests the LC F will have an MSRP approaching $200,000 USD. |
