Nota de prensa, en inglés NEW HATCHBACK TO BE PRODUCED IN SUNDERLAND Recent model announcements combine to create more than 3,000 new jobs
The new medium hatchback announced today will create an additional 225 jobs at Nissan and 900 at component companies supplying Nissan in the UK. Combined, both models will result in more than 3,000 new jobs being created in the UK automotive sector within the next two years - 625 at Nissan and the remainder across the supply base. Once recruitment for both models is complete, the Sunderland Plant workforce will stand at a record 6,225 supporting an overall annual plant volume of more than half a million units. The announcement was made by David Cameron and Nissan Chief Operating Officer, Toshiyuki Shiga, during a visit to Nissan's headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. It was confirmed that the new hatchback, which will be named closer to its sales launch, marks Nissan's return to the mainstream medium segment in Europe and will play a major role in the company's continued expansion under the ambitious ‘Nissan Power 88' mid-term plan. Production capacity for the new model will be around 80,000 units triggering the need for Sunderland Plant to implement an additional shift. This will see both production lines operating ‘around the clock' for the first time in the plant's 26-year history, a move which will take manufacturing capacity beyond 550,000 units. The announcement also consolidates Sunderland Plant's position as the UK's largest car manufacturer, a title it has held since 1998. In 2010 Sunderland became the first and only UK car plant to produce more than 400,000 units in a single year when 423,000 Qashqais, Notes and Jukes rolled off the line. This was smashed last year when 480,000 cars were produced. Now the plant is preparing to pass the half million mark for the first time. As well as having a significant impact in volume terms, the new hatch represents an additional £127 Mn investment by Nissan in its Sunderland operation and, crucially, is supported by an offer of £8.2 Mn Regional Growth Fund from the UK Government. This marks an unprecedented period of investment in Sunderland Plant in recent years totaling £921 Mn - more than a quarter of overall investment in the plant. This includes introduction of the 100% electric Nissan LEAF in 2013; Juke launch; the construction of a battery plant and the replacement for the Qashqai crossover - in addition to the two recent model announcements. Nissan Chief Operating Officer, Toshiyuki Shiga, said: "In Europe Nissan has achieved record growth in recent years by providing innovative, customer-focused models like Qashqai and Juke that are designed, developed and produced within the region. "Nissan already produces more vehicles in Europe than any other Asian manufacturer and the model announced today will bring world-class quality and leading technology to our customers at the heart of the European C-segment. "I would also like to thank the UK Government for its strong and sustained support which allows us to continue making significant, long-term investment in our Sunderland operation." Prime Minister, David Cameron, commented: "It is fantastic news that Nissan will be building their new hatchback model in the UK and that they expect to create more than 1000 jobs at the Sunderland plant and in the supply chain across the country. It's proof of the strength and vitality of the British manufacturing industry that leading companies like Nissan are expanding their production in the UK. "I've already seen first hand the tremendous work at the Nissan Sunderland plant and it's great to be visiting the company's headquarters in Yokohama today. Nissan's investment in the UK is a huge vote of confidence in the skills and flexibility of the UK workforce. We want to attract more investment like this and that's why we're encouraging foreign companies with incentives like the Regional Growth Fund." | A ver que sacan... Espero que algo mejor que el Tiida, porque es de las cosas más feas que he visto. Aunque de todas formas, los modelos actuales de Nissan no me gustan mucho que digamos, por lo que no tengo mucha confianza |

Ya podian haber hecho algo con el sport concept 2005...hubiese sido un sustituto ideal, de los almera/pulsar. A ver si renacen los turismos nissan en europa.

| Si,porque en Japón es una pasada los modelos que tiene....sobretodo el Nissan Fuga GT,aunque no se si aqui se vende como Infiniti,porque se parecen bastante... |

| Bueno, yo me refería al Tiida I. El Tiida II no lo cuento porque no se vende aquí, y si es verdad que lo mejoraron, aunque tampoco es que sea una maravilla... jejeje |

  el segundo tiida podria haberse vendido perfectamente en españa, seguramente ese almera del 2014,no seria sustituto del 2º tiida? o llegaria demasiado temprano siendo este tiida aun un modelo joven? |

Desgraciadamente creo que no... De todas maneras, en el enlace que puse del Tiida II en el primer mensaje, se hablaba de que se venderia en muchos paises, y de que llegaria a Europa, pero ha pasado un año entero y solo se vende en China

Desgraciadamente creo que no...
El Tiida II se presentó en abril de 2011. De llegar a Europa lo haria en 2014 (es cuando dice Nissan que saldrá el compacto), con lo que a mi me pareceria muy tarde... De todas maneras, en el enlace que puse del Tiida II en el primer mensaje, se hablaba de que se venderia en muchos paises, y de que llegaria a Europa, pero ha pasado un año entero y solo se vende en China |

 Pero claro el señor goshn no queria competencia para sus generalistas de renault, ahora la estrategia del grupo parece que cambia, interesante la verdad....por que es recordar lo que habia en un cocesionario nissan en los 90 y lo que hay ahora y se te cae el alma al suelo.

Sí y no.
O sea, el Tiida salió en 2004 en Japón. En 2005 se hizo el Sport Concept, que era un Tiida "conceptizado". Y en 2007 salió en Europa el Tiida que había debutado en 2004. Es mucho rollo explicar todo eso, es más fácil decir que el Sport Concept es en realidad el coche que "adelantaba" el Tiida (aunque el Tiida ya existiese), sólo que convenientemente remozado y maquillado como buen concept. En realidad Nissan decía en 2007 que el Tiida nacía del Sport Concept, aunque se callaban que el propio Tiida ya existía. Quiero decir, que es obvio que el Sport Concept y el Tiida son "lo mismo", uno en versión de salón y otro en versión de calle. http://www.alibaba.com/product-tp/12...san_TIIDA.html en el 2007 desaparecia el almera y trajeron el tiida ya con 3 años en el mercado, pero con pocas versiones, puede que ahi estuviera ya el primer fallo, un 1,6 de 110, un 1,8 de 126, y un dci de 105, cuando podria haberse completado con dos gasolinas de 85 y 150cv, y otros 2 diesel de 85 y 130 |

En mi coche falla el circuito del airbag delantero derecho,el del salpicadero del copiloto. Pero tienes razon debe venir del conector que da falsos fallos cuando quiere. De todas formas los conectores llevan el simbolo renault no sé si tendrá algo que ver,los airbags de los asientos llevan el simbolo de renault bien grande y se puede leer Renault,sobretodo en los modelos restyling que tu y yo tenemos. |

| algo de culpa tiene renault .... aunque bueno, las gallinas que entran (motores 1.5 Y 2.0 dci cedidos de Renault, 3.0 dci conjunto y plataformas conjuntas) por las que salen (no vender compacto y berlina en europa y ceder algunos motores gasolina a Renault), total Nissan no necesita como el comer el vender un compacto y una berlina en europa si en el resto del mundo le van muy bien las cosas, creo que son estrategias pactadas dentro del grupo. |
