Ferrari F430 GTC "The Bear likes his persona as a bon vivant, and as Society Editor of dailysportscar, he likes to cultivate his image as a “tell it like it is” kind of Bear. But sometimes Murphy respects a confidence, and “sits on a story.” Or, more often, disguises it so as to leave open doubt as to the particulars. So it was with this little bit: “We expect a new old manufacturer in GT2 next season, run by a new old team.” Well the “new old team” is Risi Competizione, and the “new old manufacturer” is Ferrari. We understood that Guiseppi would want that held until after the Maserati MC12 had finished its season, but it has now been reported elsewhere. The Bear’s take was that the 430 already purchased by Risi was a lock for a GT2 entry, regardless of the status next year of the MC12. But others hint that the Ferrari will only be entered if negotiations to allow the Maserati to compete for the ALMS Championship in 2006. Scott Atherton pronounced the latter as a done deal at Petit, “Maserati MC12 now eligible for points/championship,” right there in the notes. Depends on what you mean by “now,” I guess. It appears to the Bear that Risi is only in a kind of support mode to Maserati Corse, and it wouldn’t take much for both programs to become reality. The Bear hopes so, anyway. The Bear knows that the Risi Competizione-Maserati Corse tie-up has not been a marriage made in heaven. That hasn’t gotten any better recently, either. The Bear hears that the 430 has been purchased, and there has been at least one meeting with a tire manufacturer about a program with the 430. An Italian tire? Perhaps not." Nothing's been officially announced about it, but it's basically a done deal. I'm not a huge fan of the car, but it's great to see more cars coming to the series. Acojonante..me gusta la colocacion de los pilotos traseros y esas enormes branquias laterales...Lo que no me acaba de convencer las salidas de escape...quedan muy feas, pero bueno tampoco creo que les importe, si va destinado exclusivamente a la competicon..Saludos P : Si algun dia regalan alguno con algun paquete de galletas avisadme...
