Ford GT Twin Turbo Kit

The Proactive Approach

What good is power if you don't use it? Why have 800 WHP and let it sit in the garage? If you are not ready for real horsepower this is not the place for you. This kit is designed by racer's for racer's. It makes 832 WHP on pump gas and 705 ft/lbs of torque. If you look at the dyno sheet the car is making over 670 ft/lbs of torque from 4500 to 6500 RPM. With the kind of power mated to an awesome transmission, the acceleration is nothing short of phenomenal. The night the car was pulled off the dyno it was joyride time. To see the look on the faces and hear the stories of how fast the car accelerates was a priceless moment. You can only imagine what it takes to make a grown man giggle from the sheer power this car is putting down. That is what this kit offers. After moments like that you could never bring yourself to let something that brings such joy sit in a garage.

This is only a launching point for other projects that are already in the works for the Ford GT. Look what we where able to accomplish in 5 days, imagine if we had some real development time with this car. The next step will be to upgrade the turbos to something that will support HP in the 1400HP range. This will require some fuel system work and upgrades to the engine internals. We will keep everyone posted on our progress as I am sure we will be watched.

There are still a few details to finalize before this kit will be available. Orders will be on a first come first serve.

Design Philosophy

Why is our kit designed this way? One look from a true enthusiast into the engine bay of the Ford GT, and you know there are going to be problems with the placement of turbos. We looked at several locations including lower in the engine bay, the small area between the engine block and driveshaft. Lets not forget the heat aspect of this placement. If you look at how the air flows through the engine bay you will notice that below the valve cover gets little air flow with the belly pans installed. Next, was maintenance on the vehicle. I personally would not want to have to pull an engine just to change a turbo or perform any transmission work. We planned from the beginning to make an abundance of power and heat control was a concern with this set up. With this amount of load on a stock drivetrain, we have to keep tempratures down to insure reliability of the components. The area at the back of the engine bay was better when thinking about heat, the trade-off for this location is increased lag time due to the increase of required piping . The area we selected to mount the turbos is the best location from a performance and reliability aspect of stock and added hardware. This location provides excellent air flow around the turbos, minimal piping, and and ease of removal for mantinance.

The end result is a kit that can be easily installed or removed by anyone with mechanical skills, makes incredible power, and still keeps under hood tempratures down. This kit is not intended for the car that gets 1000 miles or less per year. This kit is intended for the person who loves the performance of this car and is ready to use it.
